On the occasion of the celebration of the 700th anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri and the 200th anniversary of the death of Napoleon Bonaparte, Brera presents Great Men. The play allows us to identify, through the exploration of the lives of Napoleon Bonaparte and Dante Alighieri, significant connections between the experience of forced removal – geographical, cultural or spiritual – from one’s homeland of origin and family relationships.
Written by Emily Renée, a young English playwright, writer, director and actress, Great Men, in two acts, brings out a delicate and complex plot of parental, human and intimate relationships.
