DescriVedendo

The Pinacoteca di Brera, in collaboration with the Associazione Nazionale Subvedenti onlus, is participating in DescriVedendo, a shared language between visually impaired and normally sighted people to explore and enjoy art together. The program is developed thanks to the support of Lions Clubs International Milano Borromeo and Milano Duomo and consists of a series of special insights in Italian language (Andrea Mantegna’s Cristo Morto, Tintoretto’s Ritrovamento del corpo di san Marco, Piero della Francesca’s Pala Montefeltro, Raphael’s Sposalizio della Vergine, Caravaggio’s Cena in Emmaus, and Francesco Hayez’s Bacio).

Tactile bas-reliefs

The Pinacoteca’s bas-reliefs allow you to have a new tactile experience. The project was created to make enjoyment more engaging for everyone, especially the blind and visually impaired public.
The bas-reliefs, made by hand, are three-dimensional resin translations of some of our masterpieces.
