A series of Putti Harvesting Grapes, now split between the Brera and other museums, once adorned the lunettes of the vault in the same room. The vault must have been designed to imitate a vine trellis, an idea taken from the Sala delle Asse in the Castello Sforzesco in Milan painted by Leonardo da Vinci a few years earlier. The putti, lit by slanting light, show the influence over Luini of Bramantino, who was once thought to have painted the very fine putto in the centre.
