This panel was painted by two artists. Giovanni Agostino da Lodi painted the landscapes and almost all the figures, while Marco d’Oggiono painted the figure of Christ in the Baptism. The polyptych to which it belonged hung in the (reformed Franciscan) Amadeite church of Santa Maria della Pace, one of early 16th century Milan’s most important building projects.
