The end is also the beginning (at least for six weeks!)

As of 28th August, the rooms XXXVII and XXXVIII of the Pinacoteca will be closed in order to complete the first entire re-installation of the museum’s permanent collection in forty years.
Until Tuesday October 4nd, when visitors reach the end of their exploration of the collections, they will have to turn back, and return to the beginning.
The re-opening of the final two rooms dedicated to the art of the 19th century, along with the opening of the museum’s new caffè, named after the legendary director Fernanda Wittgens, will mark the end of three years of work, and the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the Pinacoteca di Brera.
By purchasing an entrance ticket to the Art Gallery, you can request the Temporary Card Amici di Brera, which entitles you to an unlimited number of free entries for three months from the date of purchase.
