Pinacoteca di Brera to donate ticket sales on Sunday, August 28th to earthquake rescue efforts
The Pinacoteca di Brera supports the Italian populations hit hard by the earthquake: Sunday, August 28th the proceeds will be donated to the earthquake relief effort.
Visit the museum next Sunday will therefore represent an important opportunity to make a generous gesture of solidarity. The initiative will not be limited to the Pinacoteca di Brera.
“All the ticket sales of the state museums on Sunday, August 28th will go to earthquake- hit zones.” This was announced by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, Dario Franceschini inviting Italians to “go to museums in a sign of solidarity with the populations involved in last night’s earthquake”.
Thanks to this first extraordinary action – in addition to those already provided and the additional measures that the government will adopt – the MIBACT will allocate the proceeds of museums and archaeological sites on Sunday August 28th, to work on the cultural heritage damaged by the earthquake.
