Pinacoteca di Brera – Milano Design Week

On the occasion of the Milan Design Week 2016 and exclusively for the Pinacoteca di Brera, Arpa Industrial and Pozzi Group present the prototype of a new seat made of FENIX NTM (the nanotechnology material by Arpa Industrial) and designed by Simone Davide Carminati of Pozzi Group.
Visitors can experience the seat prototype in room VIII dedicated to Venetian paintings of the fifteenth century, right in front of the masterpiece The Preaching of Saint Mark in a square in Alexandria by Gentile and Giovanni Bellini.
The seat concept is the brainchild of James Bradburne, director of the Pinacoteca di Brera and the Braidense National Library. In 2015 Bradburne presented a three year redevelopment plan that will “get Brera back in people’s hearts and persuade people to come back to Brera, not as mere visitors but as users.” Bradburne has been inspired by elements of the original nineteenth century furniture and has renewed them as design items with an elegant, discreet and functional presence.
