To tie in with the 24th General Conference of the International Council of Museums Milano 2016, the Pinacoteca di Brera’s Education Department, under the guidance of James M. July 6th-9th, 2016 – The capital of Lombardy was chosen to welcome the 24th General Conference of the International Council of Museums in 2016!
Participating in this important event is a unique opportunity to experience the new Milan by taking part in the daily excursions, international working groups and outstanding shows and cultural experiences which will be available at ICOM 2016.

July 7th, 2016 – The 17th century Palace of the Sciences and Arts opens its doors with a public event especially for ICOM Milan 2016. After a welcome by the Brera’s Directors, its leading institutions – the Pinacoteca, the Academy of Fine Arts, the Braidense National Library, the Istituto Lombardo – Academy of Science and Letters, the Botanical Garden, the Museum and Astronomical Observatory of Brera – will stay open in the evening with events, exhibitions, installations and guided tours.
The Brera’s institutions will be open to the public, and a light dinner will be offered exclusively to ICOM 2016 guests while seats last – reservations are obligatory.
h. 6:30 p.m. – Registration
h. 7:00 p.m. – Welcome by the Brera’s Directors and drink
h. 7:30 – 10:00 p.m. – Visits to the exhibitions, guided tours and free visits in the Brera institutions (see the programme of each of them)
