EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES: A NEW DIALOGUE AMONG THE PALAZZO DI BRERA’S VARIOUS INSTITUTIONS A number of special events such as the International ICOM Congress 2016, National Families at the Museum Day, Orto in Festa and the ArteOrto project in collabo- ration with Aboca, Brera’s Orto Botanico and the Asso- ciazione Amici di Brera’s Education Services, bolstered the increasingly fruitful dialogue among the Palazzo di Brera’s various institutions. SPECIAL AUDIENCES In a spirit of increasing participation on the part of every kind of audience in the enjoyment of the Pinacoteca’s art treasures, the museum confirmed its participation in A Stroll in Milan’s Museums, a scheme developed by the Fondazione Manuli for Alzheimer sufferers, and a tactile caption was added to the tour to allow those with im- paired or no sight to enjoy the museum’s works of art. The prototype, produced by Computer Vision and Pavia University’s Multimedia Lab, marks the first step in a tour which the museum is eager to expand even further. SCHOOLS The I Want To Visit Brera Too and Discovering Brera schemes for schools continued under the guiding hand of museum education experts on the Pinacoteca’s behalf. The course for teachers entitled The Museum, a Resource for Schools, also proved extremely popular.
